How to enjoy Asheville North Carolina!

Well we finally did it! Johnny and I got married Saturday ! Despite the rain it was a beautiful wedding! For our honey moon we are taking a road trip to Nashville TN, but we made a pit stop in Asheville NC for a few days and it is BEAUTIFUL here. We decided to go the bed and breakfast route. It's our first time staying in one and I honestly feel we picked the most beautiful one in the area, The Biltmore Village Inn. We are staying in the Reed Suite.

It is decorated with beautiful Victorian furniture.
A fire place in the bed room and bathroom.
Look at this tub... It was certainly a selling factor for this room!

Our own private patio.

And a surprise for the newly weds!

They serve a gourmet 2 course breakfast every morning .

Served in this gorgeous dinning room with the other guest of the house.
Everyday from 4:30 - 6 they have a social hour with complementary wine and cheese to mingle with the other guest in the house.
Not to mention they have 24 hour snacks and drinks with complementary cookies!
My saving grace was the 24 hour available coffee.
The outside was just as gorgeous as in the inside.

The first day we hade breakfast at the inn and ventured out to see Wheels Through Time. It's a motorcycle museum that Johnny has been wanting to see for years now. They have tons and tons of vintage motorcycles that all still run! It was really cool to see how technology has changed. He got to meet the owner who can be seen on their new TV show on the History channel!

We then ventured off to the Biltmore estate, the U.S. Largest homes. It was beautiful! You are not allowed to take pictures inside the house it I was as to find a few online.

After the tour, we ventured over to Antler Hill Village to get lunch. We are at Cedric's Tavern.

We got the Reuban (so delicious) the apple BBQ which was on special, a flight of local brewery's beer, and their homemade pickles (Johnnys favorite part)

After lunch we headed back to the Bed and Breakfast for our couples massage! Neither of us had ever had a massage before. It was so relaxing! The inn had the option for you to get a massage in your room. I recommend it for any couple looking to add a little more relaxation into their trip! We lounged around the room for a little before heading to dinner at White Duck Taco Shop. They have tons of different taco flavors, all equally delicious! We got the carnita BBQ, buffalo ranch, and pulled pork.
After dinner we headed downtown to look for drinks. We ended up at a place called Bens Tune Up.

While the place seemed cool and had a different vibe , it apparently was not the place to be on a Monday night. We were basically the only people in there. The staff was not really that attentive either. Johnny sat at the bar for about 15 minutes with an empty drink before I had to call the bar tender over since they were "too busy". We did try their house made sake.
We got strawberry cucumber and pineapple jalapeƱo. If you are a sake drinker it's pretty good! It's safe to say, my new husband is not a sake drinker!

The next morning we had breakfast at the inn and relaxed a few hours. It was pouring so we watch one of the movies they had. We went to 12 bones smokehouse for lunch.

President Obama has visited here each time he has came to visit Asheville. While the BBQ and sides were good, the real treat is their "damn good corn pudding" and oh my was it damn good!!

After lunch we headed back to the Biltmore estate to tour the winery.

They have a complimentary wine tasting with your Biltmore ticket where you can try up to 20 wines! Johnny HATES wine but he was a great hubby and tried some AND HE LIKED IT! We ended up buying the house red (my favorite), the Chardonnay, and the sweet white for Johnny. We followed up the tasting with a tour around the winery to see how the Biltmore winery was ran.

After the winery we stopped by Wicked Weed brewery to do a tasting.

Their blackberry beer was my favorite!

After the tasting we headed back to the inn for social hour.

We headed back to the room and found our selves napping again. (Apparently the higher elevation makes you a little drowsy!)

After our nap we headed to dinner at Tupelo Honey Cafe, hands down the best place we are so far. Our server, Darian, was awesome. Everyone in there was so full of life and energy. I tried fried green tomatoes for the first time too!

They give you a biscuit before your meal with the most scrumptious blueberry jam!

Between that and the fried green tomatoes I was already a happy girl!

Johnny ordered the meat loaf while I got the avocado burger. The Mac and cheese was probably the best Mac and cheese either of us had ever eaten!

This morning is our last morning at the inn. We are going to eat breakfast (because the breakfast here is too good to pass up) and head over to Nashville to finish our Honeymoon! Hope our trip can inspire you to see and do some fun things like we did!
